The South Asian disapora is buzzing because Gap window adverts include a Sikh man wearing his turban! That would be Waris Ahluwalia and yes, he’s part of Gap’s current campaign.

Waris has proudly founded his own fashion house by the name House of Waris. Currently, Waris designs fine jewelry and scarves; his reputation and keen eye for innovative trends has allowed to to collaborate on many projects.

Between designed and jet-setting, Waris acts and even manages to pose for Gap. The campaign clearly appeals to a diverse and identifiable community and this is just another move into mainstream recognition.
