HM Parka: OOTD

The crisp fall air is slowly turning into a brisk winter chill, the key to surviving the cold temperatures is layering! Today I chose black jeans and an HM parka jacket.

With the sun shining, boots and a scarf were not necessary.

The Parka jacket, from H&M, is an army/khaki green. The fabric is soft with a suede like finish. The jacket has a diagonol silver zipper, rolled-up sleeves with button detailing, and a drawstring at the waist. My favorite part of the jacket is its longer length a) because I am a tall girl and b) I appreciate modest hemlines.

Black jeans and a simple black tee shirt set the base for this look. I grabbed a simple black Guess leather handbag and opted for peep-toe booties. The hardware on both pieces compliment the statement zipper on the jacket.

For accessories, I put on this double-wrap Michael Kors watch, which is also in a black leather and these statement earrings. The silver is a combination of shiny and oxidized.

The outfit and accessories are all quite stark with the silver hardware. To add a feminine touch, I quickly curled my hair for this effortless, tousled look.

Make-up is also no fuss. My usual foundation, bronzer, and peach blush set the face, a khaki green eyeshadow in my crease and under my lower lash line compliment the outfit, and a pale lipstick anchor my face.
