Hair Appointment: Bye Bye Red Hair

Monday, November 25, I headed to Rare Salon (Church Street, NYC) for my regular hair appointment. I have been dying my hair red for about four years now, two of which stylist F.S. Charlie has been working her magic. We’ve done highlights, ombré, a variety of shades, and it has become my signature color.

Recently, I’ve noticed a growing number of people going red and I was ready for a change, something vibrant and bold.

Sunday night, I was tuned into the American Music Awards and so many artists were rocking  colored hair, which had me ready to commit to a hair makeover.

I went back to a dark brown base and we create a new signature with turquoise and purple highlights! I am in love with the new color; however, everytime I walk past a mirror I do a double take because my hair is so much darker than I am used to.

The process was long and precise; I would trust no one but F.S. Charlie to make the  effort to make this look  perfection, complimentary to my complexion, and a work of art.

Say “bye-bye” to the Red Head, Follow the Journey.

Step Two: Dark Brown for the Rest of My Hair

Step One: bleach just the strands for highlights. My hair is so saturated with red, this was to ensure the turquoise and purple are their true tones.
